THE AUDITION

💪PHYSICAL HEALTH & HYGIENE

Your body is the only place you have to live. Take care of it like it matters.

The situation

  • It's 1:30 a.m. on a school night and you're still on your phone.
  • You've had energy drinks today, but no water and no real meal.
  • PE is the only exercise you've gotten in weeks.
  • You keep saying you'll fix your routine 'next week.'

What do you do tomorrow?

Health isn't a look — it's a system. Sleep, food, water, movement and hygiene are the operating system everything else in your life runs on.

WORDS FROM SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN THERE

Take care of your body like you'll live in it for the next sixty years — because you will.

THE KNOWLEDGE CORNER

Why each piece matters

Your body is not separate from your grades, your mood, your confidence or your future. These six habits control almost everything about how you feel and perform every single day.

😴

Sleep

8–10 hours a night. Sleep is when your brain files memories, repairs muscles, balances hormones and resets your mood.

Why it matters: One short night can cut focus and reaction time like being legally impaired. Chronic short sleep is linked to anxiety, weight gain and weaker immunity.

🥗

Nutrition

Real food most of the time: protein, fruits, vegetables, whole grains. Treats are fine — they just can't be the foundation.

Why it matters: Your brain runs on what you eat. Blood-sugar crashes from junk food show up as brain fog, irritability and the 2 p.m. slump in class.

💧

Hydration

Water is the default drink. Energy drinks and soda are occasional, not daily — caffeine after lunch steals your sleep.

Why it matters: Even mild dehydration causes headaches, tiredness and poor concentration. If you're thirsty, you're already behind.

🏃

Movement

About 60 minutes a day — walking, sports, lifting, biking, dancing. It counts even if it's not 'a workout.'

Why it matters: Exercise is the most legal performance enhancer that exists: better mood, better sleep, better stress control, better confidence.

🧼

Hygiene

Shower daily, brush twice and floss, wear deodorant, wash your face, keep nails and clothes clean.

Why it matters: Hygiene is health and social armor: it prevents skin problems, infections and dental bills — and people treat you differently when you show up clean and put together.

☀️

Sunlight & Fresh Air

Get outside in daylight daily, even briefly. Your body clock, vitamin D and mood all depend on it.

Why it matters: Morning light anchors your sleep cycle better than any app. Sunlight is free medicine most people forget to take.

THE MINDSET

Decisions & discipline — the real workout

Decision making

Every health choice is a vote for the person you're becoming. One soda is nothing; a thousand sodas is a body. Ask: 'If I did this every day for a year, where would I end up?'

Discipline over motivation

Motivation is a feeling that shows up late and leaves early. Discipline is a system: phone charges across the room, water bottle by the door, gym bag packed the night before. Design the routine so the good choice is the easy choice.

The 1% rule

You don't need a transformation this month. Get 1% better a day — one more glass of water, 20 more minutes of sleep, one more walk — and in a year you won't recognize yourself.

Your future self is watching

The 25-year-old version of you is built from what you do this week. Strong teeth, a healthy heart, clear skin and steady energy are gifts your present self sends forward.
