❤️LESSON 03 OF 11

LOVE, SEX & RELATIONSHIPS

Nobody teaches this part out loud. So here it is, plainly.

Consent, protection, communication and knowing when something has stopped being love. No shame, no lectures — just what you need to know before the test module puts you in the moment.

THE FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

01

Consent is a yes you can hear

Consent is freely given, reversible at any time, informed, enthusiastic and specific. Silence isn't consent. Pressure isn't consent. Someone who is drunk, high or asleep cannot consent. 'Yes to one thing' is not yes to everything, and a yes yesterday isn't a yes today.

02

Protection does two different jobs

Condoms are the only common method that reduces both pregnancy and STI risk. Birth control pills, implants, IUDs and shots prevent pregnancy only. Doubling up — condom plus another method — is how people who care about both risks handle it.

03

STIs are common and mostly quiet

Most STIs have no symptoms, which is exactly why testing matters rather than guessing. Many are curable and the rest are manageable. Free or low-cost testing exists in most areas. Asking a partner when they were last tested is a normal, adult question.

04

Boundaries and communication

A boundary is a statement about you, not a demand about them: 'I'm not ready for that' is complete. You don't owe an explanation. Someone who treats your boundary as a negotiation is telling you something important about how they'll treat future ones.

05

Green flags, red flags and dating violence

Green: they're calm when you disagree, they like your friends, they apologize and change. Red: constant checking, jealousy sold as love, cutting you off from people, threats, or blaming you for their anger. Abuse escalates, and leaving is the most dangerous moment — plan it with someone you trust.
